Short answer

Pack goods in strong cartons or crates, stack and strap pallets so they cannot shift, label every package with the delivery details and keep a list of what is loaded. Have the goods ready at the loading point at the agreed time.

Step by step

  1. Pack for a long road journey. Use strong cartons or crates that fit the goods, and fill any gaps so nothing moves inside.
  2. Palletise and secure. Stack cartons evenly on pallets and wrap or strap them so the load stays together when the vehicle moves.
  3. Label every package. Write the receiver’s name, address, PIN code and phone number on each package, with your own details as the sender.
  4. List and count. Keep a list of what is loaded, with the number of packages and the approximate weight. It makes your quote accurate and helps with checking at delivery.
  5. Be ready at the loading point. Make sure the vehicle can reach the goods, someone is there at the agreed time, and the goods are ready to load.

Special goods

Fragile goods

Wrap each piece, cushion it on all sides, mark the package as fragile and tell us before loading.

Heavy goods and machinery

Use strong crates, skids and straps so the load stays together. Share the dimensions and weight before booking so we can plan the right vehicle. Heavy loads are often best moved as a full truckload.

Liquids

Use leak-proof containers, seal them and keep them upright with cushioning around them. Tell us what you are moving so we can plan the loading.

Not sure how to prepare something?

Message us on WhatsApp before loading and describe the goods. We will tell you what to do. When you are ready, request a quote.
